The Qu+Thanx partnership is rooted in a desire for restaurants to establish personalized relationships with guests beyond discount-dependency. Qu and Thanx see the value in using rich guest data and smart digital capabilities to foster deeper, more meaningful engagement.

One of the core problems Qu is tackling is the lack of connectivity between guest data and brands being able to effectively leverage that data. Many restaurants struggle with fragmented and incomplete guest information spread across different systems. As a leading provider of cloud-native, API-first technology solutions for the restaurant industry, Qu makes it simple to connect data flows to integration partners like Thanx.

Thanx also eschews a modern platform approach designed for interoperability and data portability—a system centered around capturing and activating guest data. Uniquely, Thanx captures data through frictionless guest interactions and differentiated loyalty programs, the result of which is leading data capture rates.

Specifics of the Integration

The Qu+Thanx integration allows for loyalty rewards redemption directly on Qu’s POS and Kiosk. Specific features available to restaurant teams via this integration include:

  • Look up and view guest data in real-time: First and last name, phone, email, points balance, and available rewards.
  • Select and apply an available reward to the check: The reward is automatically removed from the guest’s account in Thanx.
  • Remove a guest from the check if staff enter the wrong phone number or email address.
  • Reopen a check if an item needs to be refunded. If appropriate, applied rewards can be refunded and added back to the guest’s account.
  • Members accrue loyalty benefits simply by paying with a registered credit card, no check-in at the register required.

  • Simple for guests: Guests can redeem in-store rewards without an app, simply by providing the email address or phone number associated with their loyalty account.

  • Frictionless experience, more visits: Guests have a seamless experience for interacting with the loyalty program driving engagement, frequency and satisfaction.
  • Superior data capture: Merchants benefit from higher revenue capture rates (% of revenue attributed to loyalty) as more loyalty members engage with the program.
